2023 Quest Kicks off in Indiana

As someone who loves his family and loves golf, combining the two is always a special treat.  I never forced golf on the kids (although I did entice them as youngsters by letting them drive the golf cart and hunt for golf balls).  Fortunately, both of my boys have picked up golf in their early adulthood, and we’ve enjoyed fun times on the links over the years.

Playing golf with them at Major golf courses is even better.  Clark and Blake have joined me for a number of rounds on the quest. I’ve had the pleasure of playing with Clark (the oldest) at Interlachen and Hazeltine in Minnesota and Norwood Hills and Bellerive in St Louis.  My youngest son Blake and I played the famed Lower Course at Baltusrol in New Jersey and finished 3rd in the charity event (which is why I have so much Baltusrol gear)!

On May 2, the 2023 season begins anew.  The Donald Ross course at French Lick will be my first round of the quest in 2023 and it promises to be unique. It’ll be the first time that I’ll play a Major golf course with both of them.   Based on what I’ve seen, it’ll be a challenging outing for the three of us. Having played many Donald Ross courses I know his courses tend to play so much harder than it looks like they should. Regardless of the strokes on the scorecard at the end of the round, it’ll be a memorable outing to say the least!

I’m looking forward to the first of hopefully many rounds that the three of us will enjoy on some of the best courses in the nation.

Stay tuned…
